In this month’s edition of our Member Spotlight series, we spoke to Neville Bezzina about life in Malta, work and how he likes to spend his time.

Grand Central: What do you do for a living?

Neville: I’m a content marketer, copywriter, SEO specialist and trainer.

Grand Central: Thank you, and can you tell me a bit about what you do?

Neville: I recently launched https://www.spacemancreativeventures.com/, a copywriting, marketing and SEO service.  

Grand Central: What would you say is probably your best go-to productivity hack to help you on a busy day?

Neville: Using Strict Workflow extension on Google Chrome or doing a brain-dump with pen and paper when feeling I’m feeling overwhelmed, then prioritising tasks by urgency and importance.

Grand Central: Cool! And what would you say is a work-related accomplishment that you’re really proud of?

Neville: My greatest achievements would be helping interesting start-ups communicate their value online, for instance, Umana Medical Technologies or Bio Powder. 

Grand Central: And how did you find yourself living and working in Malta?

Neville: I was born here 🙂 

Grand Central: What do you love to do on the island in your free time?

Neville: 2020/21 has been mostly spending time at home reading, gaming and watching Netflix! Previously, I loved getting together with friends or going for a walk, dinner or having a board game evening. 

Grand Central: How did you end up at Grand Central?

Neville: I knew Iain from working together at Air Malta and we kept in touch since then.

Grand Central: Awesome, and what would you say is your favorite thing about the place?

Neville:  The location in Valletta is a huge plus, being a short ferry ride and elevator trip away from the Cottonera region. The community is a huge plus and the rooftop is wonderful. I like the regular activities and yes, Ollie (office dog) is awesome! 

Grand Central: That is really nice to hear! And what would you say has probably been one of your best memories whilst being at Grand Central?

Neville: One time in the office everyone was sharing articles from the satirical website bis-serjeta.com and laughing about the quirks of living in Malta. Of course, BBQs on the roof are amazing as well as meeting some really interesting people. 

Grand Central: Lovely. And what would you say are the top two reasons you’d recommend Grand Central?

Neville: The community support and how comfortable you feel with everyone being so friendly. 

Grand Central: How nice! If there was anything that you could change or add to the place, what would it be?  

Neville: Boardgame evenings! 

Grand Central: And do you have any words of advice for people that want to relocate and work abroad? 

Neville: Find yourself a friendly local who can guide you!
